About Me

I strive to to record elements of the world in different and imaginative ways. When I hear people say ‘I didn’t see what you saw and yet I was walking right there with you’ that means I am getting closer to my goal..

Why do I take photographs and am I a photographer?

These are questions myself and fellow image obsessed individuals ask ourselves.
While I can only answer for myself and even that is not easy I will endeavour to try.
I love the challenges involved, what makes one image better than another:
How the light falls on a scene?
How the composition of the elements are selected?
How to work with subjects to elicit the right pose?
How the captured image is edited, not to mention how best to capture the scene using camera and other tools?

This is truly a pursuit you can spend your life doing and never run out of things to try, lean and develop. Just when you think you have succeeded in crafting an image that looks ‘better than others’ you realise there was so many things you could have done better. Its like playing a round of golf and trying to have every swing, drive and put 100% perfect, it is never going to happen.

At the core of what I strive to achieve is to record elements of the world in different and imaginative ways. When I hear people say ‘I didn’t see what you saw and yet I was walking right there with you’ that means I am getting closer to my goal.

Please don’t hesitate to make contact if you have any ideas for shooting or collaborating it would be great to hear from you.
